Burglary on West Pike

     Burglars broke into a residence in the 300 block of West Pike Blvd., on July 25. They forced the house`s front door, entered, and stole a variety of items. These include a Vizio 42" LCD TV, a Magnavox Blu Ray player, a Sony Vaio laptop computer, and a small portable Apple TV.

Local Bars Hit by Burglars
July 21, 2011

      Two local bars were burglarized during the next-to-last week of July. In one burglary, on July 23, at Las 2 Fronteras bar, at Milano Road and West Business 83, someone removed burglar bars and then kicked open the front door of the business. Taken was a single Panasonic 42" HDTV. Suspects also pried open a juke box and stole its money.
     In the other burglary, on July 21, at "Sinsations" in the 2900 block of West Businesss 83, burglars pried open burglar bars, broke the door lock, and entered. Taken were 2 large HDTV sets, 2 electronic music mixers, an amplifier, a laptop computer, and several bottles of liquor. Burglars also pried open the coin boxes to 2 pool tables, taking money from them. These burglaries share several similarities.

Burglary in Live Oak Subdivision

     On West 20th Street, in Live Oak subdivision, homeowners returned home to a shock on the 4th of July. Burglars sneaked into the garage and stole all sorts of things. They included an HP laptop, strobe lights, Ryobi weedeater, a Pioneer DVD navigation system, radar detector, Makita cordless drill, and Sony CD player. But worst of all, these slimeballs took the family dog - a gray female schnauzer. 
      A witness spotted a 1990`s black Ford Explorer nearby.

"Gators" Stolen
June 20, 2011

     Six John Deere utility vehicles, called "Gators" were stolen from the fenced compound of Neuhaus & Company between June 16 & 20. These retail at between $5,000 and $11,000 each, some being the typical John Deere green & yellow and one model a darker green.
      It is likely that the thieves entered the property from the north and loaded the vehicles into trucks. A similar theft occurred at the Neuhaus store in Brownsville.

Regency Nursing Burglarized
May 30, 2011

     Regency Nursing & Rehabilitation, located at 2606 East Business 83,  was burglarized the weekend of May 20. At this time, it is unclear how the intruders  
 gained access to the business.
      A number of items were taken: 3-Dell mini desktop computers, used to track patients; a GE microwave oven (white); 2-fireextinguishers; a water cooler;
a coffee maker (Mr. Coffee);a toaster; and several 12-packs of Coca Cola.

STORAGE SHED BURGLARIES
May 13, 2011

      A number of storage shed burglaries occurred in the area  of the 500 - 700  blocks of East Los Torritos and East Agostadero. Likely committing 
the offense under the cover of darkness the night of Thursday, May 12,
the burglar cut or broke off locks of storage rooms in the neighborhood.
     Among the items stolen from these storage rooms area Milwaukee
cordless drill (red); an electric Craftsman hedgetrimmer (gray); a white oscillating fan; a couple of tool boxes with tools; assorted toys;
a bed with headboard; two dressers.
     Some tools have the name "Marco H" on them.
    
If you know of anyone in this neighborhood who has been
going door to door, selling any of these items, do your friends

MANHOLE COVERS STOLEN
May 10, 2011

     On May 10, sometime between 10am and 6pm, a number of manhole covers
were taken from streets and storm drainage inlets. These thefts occurred in Expressway Heights and Border Trace subdivision on Delma, Frost Proof, Hidden Trace, and North Trace. At last count, there were 9 covers taken.
                                                UPDATE
      One more manhole cover, reported after the other thefts, was stolen from
the sewer lift station, located on North Utah Street.
     A possible suspect vehicle is an older blue Ford F150 pickup.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF AT MARY HOGE
May 09, 2011

      A vandal, probably in his teen-age years, cut the power to Mary       
Hoge School, causing hundreds of dollars worth of foodstuffs to
spoil. This occurred between Sunday, May 8, at 5pm, and Monday,
May 9, at 6am. It`s likely that the vandals were trying to cut the power
to be able to enter the school without setting off the burglar alarm.

BURGLARY AT CASA DE ORO
May 02, 2011

      At about 11:30am, on Monday, May 2, someone kicked in the door to       
an apartment at Casa de Oro Apartments, 705 E. 6th St.Once inside,the burglar(s) stole a Sony 42" HDTV and a Wii game console.
 Although the television set was recovered, the game console is still missing, as are the suspects.
     A witness reports seeing 3 males, two with shaved heads, stealing the items. They left in an older brown Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Neuhaus Hit by Thieves
April 27, 2011

     Thieves hit Neuhaus & Company the night of April 26 and stole 4 lawn
tractors. The thieves cut the perimeter fence in two places, removed the
tractors from their wooden crates, and stole them. The John Deere tractors,
Model X300, are the usual green and yellow. They are valued at
about $2,200 each.
     If anyone has offered you a"good" deal on a lawn tractor,
