THEFT OF AC CONDENSERS FROM CHURCH
March 22, 2010
At the construction site of Las Palmas Baptist Church, Mile 10N x Mile 5 1/4W, thieves struck, stealing air conditioning condensers. The 2 condensers that were stolen were 10-ton units (brand name not available). The theft occurred Friday, March 19, between 7pm and 10pm.

WHEELS STOLEN

Sometime during the night of
Sunday, March 7, one or more thieves removed the wheels / tires from a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck. The tires were Goodyear brand and were taken from the rear of the truck, which was left on blocks (that`s considerate). This theft occurred in the 2100 block of Northgate Drive.

BURGLARY ON W 4TH ST
March 15, 2010
Burglars kicked open the door to an apartment in the 1700 block of W. 4th Street, on Wednesday, March 10, at about 3pm. They took a 60-inch HDTV, a Dell 17-inch computer monitor, and Mac G4 laptop computer, which is the property of the Weslaco School District.
Witnesses reported seeing 2 or 3 males carrying items to an older white Pontiac Trans Am with T-Tops. One male wore a purple and black Weslaco school shirt, which may be from Weslaco East High School.

BURGLARY ON EAST JEFFERSON
March 15, 2010
Burglars broke into a house in the 800 block of East Jefferson Street, on Wednesday, March 10, between 8 and 10pm. The suspects removed a window air conditioner and climbed into the house.
Taken were a Compaq laptop computer, a Sanyo DVD/VCR, some clothing, including a black tuxedo, and jewelry. The jewelry included Bulova and Movado watches.
A witness reported seeing an older dark blue Lexus car with paper plates. If you have information about this burglary, call Weslaco Crime Stoppers.
Vehicle Burglary at Arturo's
March 07, 2010
Two vehicles were broken into at Arturo`s Restaurant on Thursday night, March 4. In both cases, the burglar broke a window to enter the vehicle. Taken from one vehicle was a purse, containing driver`s license, social security card, an ATM card, and a checkbook. From the other vehicle, a briefcase with office items was taken. Theft at Summit

Summit Construction, located at 2210 N. Vo-Tech Drive, was the victim of theft last weekend. Sometime between Feb. 20 and 22, thieves cut the perimeter fence, entered the property, and stole equipment from 2 pickup beds.
Taken were 3 Honda generators (3500w) and a "Mi Kasa" tamper, used for compacting soil. The equipment is worth about $8,000.

Theft of Heavy Equipment

There were two thefts of construction equipment at two different construction sites this past weekend. One occurred at Plaza Los Encinos St. near the new bowling alley which is under construction behind Mustang Lounge. Taken was an orange Caterpiller motorgrader tractor, Model 140H. This theft happened February 14-15.
The other equipment theft occurred at another construction site at Airport Drive and Business 83, at the site of CVS Pharmacy. Taken was a 1999 Caterpiller motorgrader/maintainer, Model 120H, yellow in color. Witnesses reported seeing two men loading the maintainer on to a flatbed truck on Saturday, Feb. 13, between 12 noon and 3pm.

WEHS Pressbox Burglarized

The baseball pressbox at Weslaco East High School was burglarized the night of Tuesday, January 26. Taken were a Dell computer, a Samson sound mixer, an equalizer, a power amplifier, a desk microphone, and a dual deck CD player.

Schools Burglarized

From December 30 through January 5, North Bridge Elementary and Central Middle School were victims of burglars. In both cases, storage areas were broken into and equipment and supplies were taken.
At North Bridge, a weedeater and a blower were stolen, both Echo brand. At Central, in addition to their Echo weedeater and blower, a DeWalt grinder was stolen. In another area of Central that was burglarized, a "Mainliner" dolly and a "Windsor" wet vac were taken. Now, get this! these thieves also took 7 mop heads! Are they swabbing the decks?

SNOW TO SUN BURGLARIES

Snow to Sun RV Park, 1701 N. International Blvd. has been hit by burglars 3 times in December. The culprits evidently come through the west fence and break into mobile homes and/or storgage sheds, taking various items.
These items include power tools, as well as screwdrivers, wrenches, a George Foreman grill, 2 HDTV sets (Samsung and Toshiba). In the most recent burglary, all items taken were reovered outside the park along a ditch.
