Burglaries at Newly Constructed Houses

During the night of Wednesday, April 2, 2008, burglars forced open entry doors to 2 new houses in different parts of the city. At 609 Delma, they stole the front entry door ($2500), 7 installed interior doors, and 15 boxes of tile. In the other burglary at 1209 Ruby (Centerpoint Subdivision), burglars took only a Whirlpool electric stove, although they had removed 4 interior doors from their hinges and had them ready to remove from the premises. Police are looking for an older model maroon Chevrolet van, seen at the Ruby Street location.
Criminal Mischief at Overtime

An act of Criminal Mischief, valued at $1000+, occurred at Overtime Bar & Grill, 1509 W. Business 83, on Saturday, March 29, between 1:30 and 2:30am. A patron`s vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, suffered major damage to its exterior. Someone made several major dents on its right side, broke a tailight lens, and even made a hole the size of a golf ball in the Tahoe`s body. Call Crime Stoppers with a suspect`s name.
Vehicle Burglaries at Quail Hollow

At about 5:30am, Saturday, March 29, 2008, a burglar entered or tried to enter four different cars parked in Quail Hollow subdivision. Among the items taken were laptop computers, a GPS, a radar detector, purses, 2-portable DVD players. Some of the items were recovered in the area. The burglar is described as a young Hispanic male, standing about 5ft, 10in, and weighing 160lb. He was last seen headed north on Border.
Vehicle Burglary at Estero Llano Grande

On Thursday, March 20, at about 3:30pm, at Estero Llano Grande, a suspect broke the window to a 2005 Ford F250 pickup truck. Apparently, the burglar was frightened away before anything could be taken. The burglar is a female with black hair, in her early 20`s. She sped off in a red Camaro with a loud muffler. THEFTS OF HUB CAPS IN KNAPP HOSPITAL AREA

During the past week, thieves have been stealing the hub caps (or center caps) from a number of vehicles, parked at Knapp Medical Center and the surrounding medical offices. The thieves seem especially interested in hub caps from Ford vehicles. Reported as a suspect vehicle is an older model Dodge Caravan.
FELONY THEFT OF WINDOWS
March 13, 2008
Sometime during the morning of Wednesday, February 13, a major theft of building materials occurred at a residnce under construction in southwest Weslaco. Taken were several not yet installed custom made windows from the only house in Lionsgate subdivision, located in the 2000 block S. Westgate. The windows, by Anderson, were worth about $6,000. Surveillance video at the subdivision shows a full size van, maroon and white or brown and white, that was likely involved in the theft. Police need to know who drives this van.
VEHICLE BURGLARY AT MCCALEB
March 13, 2008
On Thursday, March 13, 2008, about 6:30pm, suspects broke the window of a 2006 Ford pickup, parked outside McCaleb Funeral Home, 900 W 4th St., and stole several items. Taken were a Sony digital camera and a flashlight. One suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a thin build. He left in a maroon Chevrolet Camaro.
