October 29, 2015
Taken in the burglary were a red mower (no brand name available); an electric leaf blower (black); and a child`s 4-wheel toy car (battery operated). The car was blue with gray trim.
There was no sign of forced entry to the garage.

Burglary on Lobo Lane
September 07, 2015
A large amount of farm equipment and building tools were taken. Among the items stolen were saddles, horse bits and halters, and western belts with rhinestones. Also taken were 5 bicycles, welding equipment, diesel heaters, a lawn tractor, and a Pelican light.
The only clue is video, showing a pickup truck leaving the area.

In a similar incident, two Fire Prevention vehicles, parked in the 100 block of East 5th St. were vandalized. This time the letters were "DG."

Valley Food Mart Robbery Solved
June 27, 2015
Aggravated Robbery occurred on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at approximately 7:55 p.m. an unidentified male, disguised with a purple long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, black tennis shoes with his face and head covered with black hosiery/stockings, armed with a large knife; entered the Valley View Mart convenience store located at Bridge Ave. and Sugar Cane Dr. with an address of 2504 N. Bridge Ave. Surveillance video shows a male subject walking out side the store with no disguise. ...This same male disguises himself before entering the store to commit the robbery at knife point. The female store clerk cooperated with the male suspect and was unharmed. The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes.
ARRESTED
On July 16, Raymond P Rojas, Jr, age 34, of McAllen was arrested and charged with the aggravated robbery of the Valley Food Mart, 2504 N. Bridge, Weslaco. Bail was set at $100,000.
Theft at Academy
June 15, 2015
Offense: Theft – Class B
When: Saturday, April 25, 2015, at about 6:30pm
Where: Academy
535 E. Expressway, Weslaco
What: Weslaco Police need to identify two suspects in a shoplifting incident
that occurred at Academy, on Saturday, April 25, at about 6pm. Two men, wearing dark clothing, as shown in the video as they entered the store, later were stopped by store personnel after the two had left the store with merchandise they did not pay for. Although the clothing items were recovered, the men refused to go back into the store with the Loss Prevention employee.

Graffiti at City Cemetery

Vandals struck the Weslaco City Cemetery this week (June 1). An alert resident with relatives buried in the cemetery reported the bright red graffiti, sprayed on several tombstones and on the cemetery street itself. This occurred in the older, original section. Graffiti sprayed on burial monuments is a State Jail Felony. Picture Perfect Burglarized
May 10, 2015
A relatively new business, Picture Perfect, a photography studio at 448 S. Texas Blvd., was burglarized between April 30 and May 2. Someone made entrance into the building and stole photograph equipment, television sets and other items.
Among the stolen items were Nikon cameras and accessories, an Xbox console, a Play Station 3, a 15- inch woofer speaker. Also a 55-inch LG TV set was taken.

Church Burglarized

Burglars broke a window, reached in, and unlocked a door. They then forced open two office doors, taking an HP computer and computer accessories. They also had moved other church items close to exits, ready to transport those items outside the building.
